Picture
Marshall Pokrentowski is a middle school general music and choral teacher in Syracuse, New York.  He has been a NYSTEA Student conference committee member since the winter of 2015/16.  He was invited to intern for the Student Conference committee for the December 2015 work weekend and January 2016 conference.  Since then, Marshall has participated in the planning and organization of the 2016-2020 in-person conferences and held a role in planning and coordinating the 2021 and 2022 virtual conferences.  For the 2023 and 2024 conferences, Marshall served as the third-year coordinator and ran the NYSTEA Third Year Ambassador program.  Additionally, Marshall has served as the editor for the NYSTEA Chronicles and helped to publish the print summer chronicle and e-newsletters since 2019.  Marshall has since moved to complete two yearly editions of print chronicles instead of one print chronicle and three e-newsletters.  Marshall attended the NYSTEA student conference from 2012-2014 and served as an NYSTEA Third Year Ambassador during the Winter 2014 conference.  Marshall is involved in Theatre in the Syracuse area and serves as director and producer of the Wellwood Middle School Musical and participates in local community theatre in his free time.
